Helping those who struggle with mental health find healing, hope, and purpose.
Hello! I’m Joshua Wininger
I become a Therapist after dealing with my own depression as a result of medical issues. The medical issues were resolved but the depression stayed and brought many new challenges to my life. I learned a unique perspective about mental health and want it means to try to push forward with life when you don’t want to or believe you can’t. I obtained my Masters in Clinical Counseling in 2014 and have been working with individuals, couples, and families ever since. My own faith as a Christian allows me to support and encourage those who want to integrate a spiritual component into counseling.
I do not believe that any one particular technique or method works with every person. I employ a variety of therapeutic techniques with the goal of meeting the individual needs of each client.
“And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish you.”
1 Peter 5:10 ESV
My Approach & Values
My desire as a counselor is to help individuals and couples identify the root of their struggles and develop practical strategies to face them in everyday life. I want to walk along side of you as you heal from trauma, navigate relational challenges, balance life transitions, or face life with chronic illness. I have had my own struggles in life and delayed my healing and growth by not seeing a therapist. I was just too proud and had a foolish view that counseling was only for what I imagined were “bad people”. I would be honored to sit with you and be a part of whatever your journey looks like right now.

"In this time of instability we know there are many barriers for seeking out mental health help. We are working hard to provide a safe environment and the office is sterilized after each visit. Additionally we can provide telehealth services if you would prefer to have your session digitally."
“I was just too proud and refused to believe I need help; I now have come to believe that everyone benefits from counseling.”
